    Once used to run the Howard Dean campaign, Drupal remains a powerful CMS for the building and powering of community sites. From muli-user blogs to full fledged social networks Drupal can handle a diverse spectrum community driven sites.

    Drupal is heavily geared towards web-masters and comes with a steep learning curve for the non-technical user. I can help you overcome this learning curve and get up and running with a Drupal site quickly and efficiently.

    Joomla! is the everyman's CMS, built from the ground up for the end-user rather than the developer or designer. With a very large and expanding community Joomla's focus on the end-user has made it the most well known and most popular CMS

    This large community brings with it a large pool of 3rd party extensions, numbering in the thousands. With such a large pool of choices, it can be difficult to wade through the fray and find what is right for your site. I can help guide you through the process and get the best setup for your needs.

    Although commonly viewed as just a blogging tool Wordpress is capable of much much more. With a well developed theme and proper configuration Wordpress can be a powerful and easy to use CMS. Whether you need a image gallery, job board, shopping, or simply some custom blog post types; I can deliver the custom fields and theme code necessary.

    Modx

    Modx is the get out of your way CMS, it's a powerful web framework with a "content management & presentation framework" built on top. Modx is like a PHP framework with an added admin panel and quite a bit of extra convention. Everything is exposed in Modx so to build much at all requires a knowledge of CSS/XHTMl and some basic PHP skills. The power of Modx is it's ability to deliver completely customized fronted and backend solutions completely tailored to a specific design. I can deliver a completely customized Modx site with functionality specifically created for a given project.

Applications/Software

As a Designer I believe it's my duty to continually change and adapt my toolset. With this in mind, I don't believe it matters what software I use but rather the quality of work I deliver. However it is often necessary to know the software that another is familiar with so that files can be shared and collaboratively edited. I provide the list below entirely to fulfill this purpose, do not hold my software choses against me.

  • Although I Prefer My Mac above all others, I've worked on XP, Vista, Debian, Fedora, and Ubuntu; doing everything from watching movies to designing websites.

  • My 3d Workflow consists of a combination of Cinema 4D, Zbrush, and Vue

  • All My Motion Graphics Work is Done in After Effects, C4d, and Flash for vector animation. Although I'm working on adding a node based compositor to that workflow -- likely Nuke.

Code Knowledge

  • PHP/Mysql:

    Although I occasionally dabble in other languages PHP remains my primary development language, which I use extensively for both personal projects and client work. I learned PHP through a progression from CMS user to extension coder for CMS's. This has given me extensive experience with a multitude of coding standards and conventions. As a result, I'm extremely comfortable with and find it easy to adapt to someone else's code. I've worked with everything from XSLT processors to MVC frameworks.

  • CSS + XHTML:

    I've been called everything from a CSS god to layout guru, so apparently front-end code is what I'm best at. I'm especially good at theming Content Management Systems and ran the first PSD2CMS service, a service which is now gaining popularity. I currently operate TheThemeGuru a PSD2CMS service which utilizes my incredible skill-diversity to bring unique and unparalleled offerings.

    My first programming language was Actionscript 1.0, a language I learned at the very young age of 11. I've kept my legacy of ECMAscript and have continued to work with variants of the language for the past 7 years. I've done everything from RIA work in Flex, to game scripting using Flash, to web interfaces using Jquery.

    I'm a bit of a after effects wiz and can deliver a "trademark" 2.5d style to any project. My style of animation lends itself well to bright and quirky animations with subtle messages delivered through the use of vaguely comedic depictions of moving things.

    Establishing a business requires creating a cohesive impression of that business and effectively presenting that impression in a variety of mediums. Presence design is about bringing a companies ideas, philosophies, vision and then making it accessible and easily understood by existing and future customers. Presence design stands in contrast to image design, which focuses on a image alone and not the company behind that image. Even a company cant pretend to be something else, it must be itself. I can help your business be naked without feeling naked.
